We will stop using the internet as simply another marketing medium, and start using it as a powerful tool to help improve the process. For far too long real estate has been headed down the path of mistrust and misunderstanding. When a buyer can no longer share their excitement about a particular property with their agent, for fear that the agent might perceive that as a willingness to pay more, you know you have a problem. When the public starts to believe that agents guard their information as a way of defending their jobs, you know you have a problem. When buyers have to visit 6 houses before they see one that meets their requirements, and sellers have to watch the first 5 come and go with no offers, not because there is something wrong with their house, but because it doesn’t meet the buyer’s basic needs, you know you have a problem.

Real estate agents and other professionals in this field play a vital role and offer an incredible service. Their demise is in the best interest of no one. That being said, not all real estate agents are good at their job. 5-6% is not neccessarily a fair price to pay, and some homes really should be sold “For Sale by Owner”.
